This was such a learning experience for me. I read a review on the item after purchasing it that stated that the chair did not pump up and down(this was apparently not true). I immediately went and cancelled my order because I purchased 5 of these for my new salon which is alot of money. I then thought to myself, these are so beautiful, I need to go to the sellers. They were extremely responsive and assured me that the hydraulic does work. I was frustrated becasue the money was on hold at my bank so I didn't want to reorder but I needed the chairs right ways. The seller told me not to worry and they sorted everything think out on their end and they sent me the tracking numbers. The delivery date had a range but they exceeded my expectations. I wanted to cry with joy because I was so happy. I am still in the process of setting up so I cannot speak on the item much. However, the guy that we paid to assemble the chairs stated that they are heavy and sturdy. He said that these are some of the best chairs he had seen in a long time(he is a barber in his 50's). They are beautifully designed and gives the salon a rich, elegant feel. It looks better than the photos. I am so excited because this is a competitive market and I need items that would stand out. If anything changes after use, I will edited this review to had the cons.
